As a Fresh Start Recipient, Kenneth got a full ride scholarship to the SIT Graduate Institute to gain further education while awaiting his wife and daughter. Taking advantage of every opportunity, Kenneth was able to meet Senator Bernie Sanders! Here’s what he had to say,
SIT Global scholars got a chance to meet with Sen. Bernie Sanders in Springfield VT. To me, it was a great opportunity to meet this revolutionary and a shining star in the modern day politics. Bernie has been my rock star right from campaigns but didn’t know one day i will meet and shake hands with my Hero!
Again, SIT Global scholars will have the opportunity to attend an event at the Women Refugee Commission, NYC. I’m glad i will be part of the group and continue to extend my appreciation to World Learning, SIT and Refugee Welcome for the amazing arrangements in my life.
