On January 21st, Refugees Welcome Co-founder and Director, marched in Washington DC with nearly 300 million others across the world in solidarity with women who violated by the use of sexual assault, violence, racism, classism, homophobia, and Islamaphobia that has been so prevent in the new administrations communications and interactions with the public. Women’s issues, including the support of black and trans-women have come to the forefront of debate within feminism. Although feminism can be altered depending on someones’ political agenda, Refugees Welcome! and its directors stand for an intersectional feminism that supports all women, regardless of gender, sexuality, race, ethnicity, religion, or physical ability. These issues are refugee issues and our mission will always be to defend equity and equality for all.
